Located at Watermark Bar on South Street in lower Manhattan, this 3500-square-foot venue is mostly outdoors along the East River. This means you’ll have plenty of space to enjoy your authentic German beers, brats, and massive pretzels at their assortment of picnic tables.
The event is free to attend with for-purchase options like VIP Reserved tables and Express Entry. Hours vary but are generally from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m./12 a.m. Monday-Thursday. Friday it opens at 2 p.m., Saturday at 11 and Sunday at noon.
September 16-18, 2022, and September 23-25, 2022
Set over two weekends in September, the Denver Oktoberfest celebrations have been held annually for over 50 years. True to form, Denver goes all out when it comes to hosting this festival.
You’ll find all the popular Oktoberfest activities here including stein hoisting and keg bowling. Live music will fill the air throughout the weekend, from Polka to late-night silent discos. There’s even a “Long Dog Derby” where you can bring your dachshunds to enter them in this exciting race.
On tap, you’ll find Octoberfest brews from some of Denver’s best local breweries. The event is free to the public with the option to purchase VIP tent tickets. The VIP tent has an all-you-can-eat menu, all-you-can-drink, private restrooms, and exclusive beers, wines, and cocktails.
Leavenworth, Washington Oktoberfest
Sept 30-Oct 1, Oct 7-8, and Oct 14-15, 2022
For those wanting to experience Oktoberfest in the Pacific Northwest, there’s no better place than Leavenworth, Washington. This self-proclaimed “Bavarian Capital of the US” puts on a beloved Oktoberfest annually across its downtown. For those visiting from out of town, you’ll be able to enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery while partaking in all the traditional Oktoberfest activities and events.
Local breweries are highlighted alongside traditional German beers. Bands from across the U.S., Canada, and even Germany will come to play live music throughout the weekend. The Leavenworth Oktoberfest is especially great for families. Starting in 2022 they will have a dedicated Kinderplatz where young Oktoberfesters can get Root Beer on tap and ride a 42-foot Ferris wheel.
