Whether you’re setting off on a bachelorette or simply taking a girls trip, Napa is one of the best destinations in the United States. But did you know there’s an annual Napa music festival that might just make late May the best time to visit northern California?
Bottlerock is a 3-day music festival set in the heart of the Napa Valley. But, in true Napa fashion, it’s also a food, wine, and brew fest which makes it the perfect way to experience the valley for music lovers.
This festival pairs headliners like Lizzo, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Post Malone with buttery chardonnays and hoppy IPAs from some of the best local wineries and breweries in the Napa Valley.

Bottlerock food and wine
But what truly sets this festival apart is the integration of Napa Valley’s world-renowned food and wine into the heart of the festival. Enjoy food from classic, beloved Napa eateries like Mustard’s Grill, Cole’s Chop House, and Ristorante Allegria. Or grab delicious California-Mexican cuisine from Villa Corona or Taqueria Rosita.
Ready for refreshments? Celebrate your first day at the festival with some bubbles from Schramsberg Vineyards or Mumm Napa and cool off later on with an IPA from Lagunitas Brewing, located in nearby Petaluma, California.
A few more notable reds to try while in one of the world’s most beloved wine-growing regions? Grab a Duckhorn Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus Vineyards. Or cool off with a crisp Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc or Levendi Chardonnay.
There’s even a whole stage dedicated to the culinary arts. The festival’s Culinary Stage features world-famous chefs and celebrities in delightful mash-ups as they cook, share stories, and entertain festival goers.
Where to stay
Two of our favorite options for hotels that are perfect for this Napa music festival are Archer Hotel Napa and the Cambria Hotel Napa Valley. While Archer is located downtown, the Cambria Hotel is located right off one of Napa’s main streets, Soscol Avenue. Both are less than a mile from the festival.
Where to fly into
Napa is about an hour’s drive from three popular Bay Area airports. San Francisco, Oakland, and Sacramento are all great options if you’re flying in for the Bottlerock Napa music festival.
