Troupe, Inc. (“Troupe”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the www.Troupe.com website (the “Site”) and the Troupe mobile application (“Application”) (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”).

This page informs you of our privacy policies (the “Privacy Policy”) regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Data (as defined below) when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that Data (as defined below). Throughout the Privacy Policy, the terms “you”, “your”, or “user” refer to you and each visitor of the Site or user of the Service.

We use your Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, the terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.

Definitions 

  • “Data” means collectively Personal Data, Usage Data, and any additional data collected to provide and improve the Service. 

  • “Personal Data” means data that allows someone to identify or contact you as an individual, including, for example, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data. 

  • “Service” means the www.Troupe.com website and the Troupe mobile application operated by Troupe. 

  • “Usage Data” means data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit). 


Types of Data Collected 

  • Personal Data You Provide to Us 

    • We will collect Personal Data you submit when you create an account on our Service, including your first and last name, e-mail address, phone number, and password (“Account”). Your Account information is used to identify you as a user in our system. In addition, we may send you an e-mail to verify the ownership of the e-mail address you provided for your Account. We may also use your e-mail to send you administrative e-mail notifications, such as security, or support and maintenance advisories. 

    • In order to book your hotel, we will collect all necessary information to process and issue you a hotel reservation, including without limitation, your full legal name, contact information, and payment information. 

    • If you subscribe to receive our e-mail newsletters, we may collect your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or the instructions provided in any email we send. 

    • If you provide us feedback or contact us via e-mail, we will collect your name and e-mail address, as well as any other content included in the e-mail in order to send you a reply and/or improve our Service. 

    • We may also collect and/or use Personal Data at other points in our Services that state that Personal Data is being collected and/or used for any other purposes disclosed to you at that time, pursuant to your consent. 

  • Information You Provide to Social Networking Sites 

    • If you elect to sign in to your Account via a social networking site (“SNS”), you are allowing us to access information stored by the SNS, including, without limitation, information in your public profile and your e-mail address, and you are agreeing to the SNS’s terms of use in your use of the Services. Any information that we collect from your SNS account may depend on the privacy settings you have selected with that SNS, so please consult the SNS’s privacy policy and data practices. We will use information collected from the SNS for the purposes of tailoring your user experience on our Service and enabling you to use the Service. You can revoke our access to the information you provide in this way at any time by amending the appropriate settings from within your account settings on the applicable SNS. 

  • Usage Data Collected by Our Servers. We may collect Usage Data to administrate and improve our Service, and to measure and analyze audience traffic and improve the quality of your experience with our Service, our servers (which may be hosted by a Service Provider) may collect Usage Data that your browser sends whenever you access the Service by or through a mobile device or computer, including but not limited to: 

    • The date and time of your visit and the web pages, content, and advertisements you view and the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, links you click on while navigating within our Services and other diagnostic data; 

    • The website you visited before and after visiting our Site 

    • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address (a numerical address assigned to your computer by your Internet service provider so that other computers connected to the Internet can communicate with your browser online) that can sometimes be used to derive your general geographic area 

    • If you access the Service with a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. 

    • Information collected through Cookies (as described further below) and other tracking technologies 

  • Cookies Collected by Our Servers 

    • We use cookies to collect information.  “Cookies” are small pieces of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier, that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing the website.  We may use session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser), persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them), preference Cookies (which we use to remember your preferences and various settings) and security Cookies (which we use for security purposes) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Service. For example, we may use Cookies to recognize you as a previous visitor, and save and remember your preferences and settings, and to deliver appropriate interest-based content to you, including by displaying promotional material tailored to you. In our Application, we may collect this information directly or through our use of third-party software development kits (“SDKs”). SDKs may enable third parties to collect information directly from our Application. Web browsers may offer users of our Site or Application the ability to disable receiving certain types of cookies; however, if cookies are disabled, some features or functionality of the Service may not function correctly. 

  • Pixel Tags Collected by Our Servers 

    • In addition, we use “Pixel Tags” (also referred to as clear Gifs, Web beacons, or Web bugs).  Pixel Tags are tiny graphic images with a unique identifier, similar in function to Cookies, that are used to track online movements of Web users. In contrast to Cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, Pixel Tags are embedded invisibly in Web pages and e-mail messages.  We may use Pixel Tags to collect information about your interactions with our email messages, such as the links you click on and whether you open or forward a message, the date and time of these interactions and the device you use to read emails. 

  • Usage of Data Analytics 

    • We use third-party analytics services including Google Analytics (“Analytics Services”), to help analyze how users use our Service.  The information generated by the Cookies or other technologies about your use of our Site (the “Analytics Information”) is transmitted to the Analytics Services. The Analytics Services use Analytics Information to compile reports on user activity. The Analytics Services may also transfer the Analytics Information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process Analytics Information on their behalf.   • Usage of Ad Targeting 

    • Troupe uses remarketing services to advertise on third party websites to you after you visited our Service. We and third parties, including Facebook, may use Cookies, Pixel Tags, and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from our Service or elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. Our third-party vendors may also use your Cookies to inform, optimize and serve ads based on your past visits to our Service. 

    • Facebook remarketing service is provided by Facebook Inc. You can learn more about interest-based advertising from Facebook by clicking here. To opt-out from Facebook’s interest-based ads, follow these instructions from Facebook provided here. Facebook adheres to the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioural Advertising established by the Digital Advertising Alliance. Personal Data Collected from Third Party Companies 

  • We may receive Personal Data and/or anonymous data about you from companies that help provide our Service. We may also receive Personal Data and/or anonymous data from other third parties, including but not limited to companies that have entered into joint marketing relationships or other joint ventures with us. We may combine any information about you that we receive from third parties with information we have already collected from you via our Service and use that combined information pursuant to this Privacy Policy. 

Personal Data Collected from You about Others 

  • If you decide to invite a third party to create an Account, we will collect your and the third party’s name and e-mail address in order to send an e-mail and follow up with the third party. You may only submit a third party’s name and e-mail addresses if you have permission to provide such information to us by such third party. You or the third party may contact us at [email protected] to request the removal of this information from our database. 

Use of Your Data

  • In general, Data we collect is used to respond to requests that you make, improve our Service, aid us in serving you better, or provide you with information or offers we believe may be of interest to you. Your Personal Data is used to: 

    • Provide and maintain our Service

    • Allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so 

    • Provide customer support 

    • Gather analysis or valuable information so that we can evaluate and improve our Service and develop new products and services

Disclosure of Your Data 

  • We may disclose your Personal Data as described below and throughout the Privacy Policy: 

    • When you use the Service, the Data you provide will be shared with any third parties that you authorize to receive such information. 

    • We may share your Data with vendors, business partners and subcontractors that help us provide the Service. 

    • We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. 

    • We may share some or all of your Data with our parent company, subsidiaries and any other companies under common ownership or control with us (“Affiliates”), in which case we will require our Affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. 

    • We may share some or all of your Data in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition or dissolution, transaction or proceeding involving sale, transfer, divestiture, or disclosure of all or a portion of our business or assets. In the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, Data may also be transferred as a business asset. If another company acquires our company, business, or assets, that company will possess the Data collected by us and will assume the rights and obligations regarding your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy. 

    • Regardless of any choices you make regarding your Personal Data (as described below), we may disclose your Data in our good faith belief that such disclosure is appropriate (a) in connection with any legal investigation or proceeding; (b) to comply with relevant legal obligations or laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; (c) to protect or defend the rights or property of Troupe, its Affiliates, its business partners, or its users; (d) to protect the personal safety or users of the Service and the general public; and/or (e) to investigate or assist in preventing any violation or potential violation of the law, this Privacy Policy, our applicable Terms and Conditions, or any other contractual arrangement in connection with the Service. 

Transfer of Data 

  • If you are a non-U.S. user of the Service, by using our Service and providing us with Data, you acknowledge and agree that your Data may be processed for the purposes identified in the Privacy Policy. In addition, your Personal Data may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of Personal Data may be less stringent than the laws in your country. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed and/or submission of Data represents your agreement to that transfer. 

Security of Your Data 

  • The security of your Data is important to us. We take a number of commercially reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Although, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. 

Do Not Track 

  • Our Policy on “Do Not Track” Signals under the California Online Protection Act (CalOPPA) 

    • We do not support Do Not Track (“DNT”). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. 

Third Party Payment Provider 

  • We may provide paid products and/or services within the Service. In that case, we use third party services for payment processing (e.g. payment processors). We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third party payment processors whose use of your Personal Data is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Links to Third Party Websites, Mobile Applications and Services 

  • Our Service may contain links to other websites, mobile applications and services that are not operated by us. If you click a third party link or mobile applicable, you will be directed to that third party’s website or application and another entity may collect Data from you. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party websites, mobile applications or services. The terms of this Privacy Policy do not apply to these third party websites, mobile applications or services. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every website, mobile application and online services you use. The links to third party websites, mobile application and services are for your convenience and do not signify our endorsement of such third party or their products, content or services. 

Your California Privacy Rights 

  • Under California Civil Code section 1798.83, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice identifying the categories of personal customer information which we share with our Affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, and providing contact information for such Affiliates and/or third parties. We are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, or do not have complete information. 

Children’s Privacy 

  • Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18 (a “Child” or “Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a Child without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers. Changing or Deleting Your Personal Data 

  • You may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Data stored in your Account by editing your Personal Data in your Account settings or by contacting us. Please remember, however, if we have already disclosed some of your Personal Data to third parties, we cannot access that Personal Data any longer and cannot force the deletion or modification of any such information by the parties to whom we have made those disclosures.

  • We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.
